Unfortunately photographs are not allowed inside the Residenz and therefore I have nothing to show you of its magnificent interior. That's a shame because it features splendid frescos painted by Giovanni Battista Tiepolo, the greatest decorator of the age. It also has a staircase designed by Balthasar Neumann which was pictured on the 50 Deutschmark note before it was replaced by the Euro
