In April 2001, I went away for the weekend with Pat. We stayed in bed and breakfast accommodation in Fort William. Whilst we were there, we drove to the Point of Ardnamurchan which lies approximately 40 miles west of Fort William and is the most westerly point on the British mainland. We were there on Sunday, 22nd April 2001.
The coast at Ardnamurchan is quite rocky and it is very restful to sit there watching the waves come crashing in.
All I can really tell you about the next photo is that it is taken from the road on the way to Ardnamurchan. I must warn you that even though the Point of Ardnamurchan is only about 40 miles west of Fort William, the roads are so narrow and bendy that it takes around 2 hours for the journey. If you are not guaranteed a sunny day then don't bother going.
This is the small harbour town of Oban which lies around 42 miles South (and a little west) of Fort William. It is well worth a visit but unfortunately it was rather rainy when we were there and therefore not the best day for photography.
